You won’t find a public day room inside SEA. For a bed, leave security and book a nearby hotel. Hilton, Radisson, DoubleTree and Red Roof have day-room listings.

Start with Dayuse’s SEA hotel search, the HotelsByDay Hilton listing, or ResortPass’s day-room search.
Hilton gives you a walking option if you don’t want to wait for a shuttle. From baggage claim, find Carousel 16 and go up one floor. Cross Skybridge 6, then turn left through garage Level 4 toward SeaTac/Airport Link station at the north end, near Alaska Airlines. The free Train-to-Plane cart runs between garage Level 4 near Skybridges 5 and 6 and the station daily from 5 a.m. to midnight. Hilton is beside the station on International Boulevard. Ask the hotel for directions from the station before setting out.
Before booking, ask the hotel whether the day-room reservation is in its system, when you may enter the room, and when you must leave.
Leave SEA and find your hotel ride
If you’re on separate tickets, ask your airlines about bag collection, recheck and your next boarding pass before committing to a room. Smarte Carte stores bags on the baggage claim level, between Carousels 9 and 10. It’s open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., except 11:30 a.m. to noon and 6 to 6:30 p.m. Listed bag charges are $20 under 22 inches, $25 for 23 to 27 inches, $30 for 28 to 30 inches, $35 for 31 to 33 inches and $40 over 34 inches.
Hotel courtesy shuttles use the courtesy island shuttle lane on garage Level 3, at Islands 1A–D, 2A and 3A–C. From the terminal, cross a skybridge to the garage and go down to Level 3. Check your hotel’s assigned pickup island before crossing.
If the shuttle cannot get you back in time, compare a taxi from garage Level 3 with the cost of missing usable room time. The minimum taxi fare for a trip from SEA is $20. Don’t rely on a booking site’s generic “free shuttle” badge to settle pickup timing.
Protect the return to your gate
A hotel stay takes you outside security. Check SEA security wait times and checkpoint hours before you head back. Any of the six main checkpoints can reach every gate. Checkpoint 4 stays open 24 hours if you return after others close.
Set your hotel checkout alarm for the time you need to leave, not the end of the room window. If your incoming flight runs late, call the hotel before traveling there. Ask whether it can still honor the remaining stay and what cancellation terms apply.
If the connection is too short for the round trip, stay at SEA. After security in the A Concourse, Jabbrrbox booths near Gates A5 and A8 have no bed. Check the price there. Prayer rooms prohibit sleeping, and sensory rooms serve passengers who need a calming space.
SEA has no public showers. The showers and spa listing names five lounge shower locations after security, counting the two Delta lounges at A11 as one location. In A, the Delta Sky Club by A1 lists daily hours of 4:15 a.m. to 11:15 p.m. The Delta Sky Club and Delta One Lounge by A11 list 5 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. The Centurion Lounge in the Central Terminal mezzanine lists 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. In S, The Club at SEA by S10 lists 6 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. and a $60 day pass. The British Airways Terraces Lounge is on the S Concourse mezzanine near Gate S9 and lists daily hours of 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Check the lounge guide for entry rules before heading over.
The free USO Center has SEA’s only bunk room. It’s before security on the Main Terminal mezzanine above Checkpoint 4. It opens Sunday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Saturday hours run 8 a.m. to 4 a.m. the next day. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday hours are 8 a.m. to midnight.
