Reserved parking at SEA: is Floor 4 worth it?

Floor 4 reserved parking costs $47 per 24 hours, $10 more than General. See the rules, the cost by trip length and when the guarantee pays off.

The extra $10 a day buys a guaranteed space on Floor 4, even when the SEA garage fills. Reserved Parking costs $47 per 24-hour period against $37 a day for General. Over two days that’s a $20 premium. Over a week it’s $107 more, and the guarantee gets harder to justify.

What the $10 a day buys

The Port of Seattle says Floor 4 guarantees a space “regardless of garage occupancy or travel seasonality.” You drive your own car. At the gate, scan the QR code from your confirmation instead of pulling a ticket.

The $47 rate includes taxes and fees.

Skybridges 1 to 6 connect garage Level 4 to Main Terminal Level 4, one level below ticketing and one above baggage claim. You can use them from General Parking too: park on Floors 1 to 3 or 5 to 8, then go to Level 4 for a skybridge. Our reserved parking listing has the Floor 4 rate.

What it costs against General Parking

General Parking covers Floors 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 and takes drive-ups. It costs $8 an hour, and the table below has its daily and weekly rates. Floor 4 drive-up parking has been discontinued, so a reservation is the only way onto that floor.

Stay General Parking Floor 4 reserved Extra for Floor 4
1 day $37 $47 $10
3 days $111 $141 $30
5 days $185 $235 $50
7 days $222 (weekly rate) $329 $107

The Floor 4 rows multiply the $47 daily rate, and the General Parking rows use the daily rate until the weekly rate is cheaper. The Port’s current rate block gives Floor 4 a daily price only. An older changeover table on the same page lists $329 a week, which is seven days at $47. A stay of a few hours is different, since General charges by the hour. Three hours at $8 is $24, about half of one Floor 4 day.

The Port advertises 10% off your next Reserved Parking reservation when you sign up for promotions. If that offer applies to a $47 day, Floor 4 would cost $42.30, or $5.30 more than a $37 General Parking day. The table uses the regular rate.

The over-height lot charges General Parking rates: $8 an hour, $37 a day or $222 a week. It takes vehicles too tall for the garage. Enter from S 182nd Street off Highway 99/International Boulevard. You can’t reserve a spot there, and the Port says the lot regularly fills.

Our parking comparison also covers Doug Fox Parking at 2626 South 170th Street in SeaTac. The on-Port remote lot opens daily, but its rate depends on your dates. Its on-demand shuttle picks you up and drops you off at your parked vehicle. The operator prints no fixed rate. Get a quote through our Doug Fox listing.

Another self-park choice is Airport Park N’ Fly at 17320 International Blvd in SeaTac. It’s off airport property, with a free 24-hour airport shuttle or a walk via the RTA Skybridge. The operator gives you a price when you start a reservation.

When Floor 4 pays off

If you’re worried about the garage filling up, Floor 4 holds a space for you. For a weeklong stay, General’s weekly rate makes the guarantee a harder sell.

The rules before you book

  • Book at least six hours before your entry time. Reservations open up to 120 days ahead, depending on availability.
  • The Port’s booking page says to reserve at least 14 days ahead for best availability.
  • Enter up to one hour early. Scan your QR code at the gate.
  • Pay online by card or Apple Pay.
  • Use the white Reserved Parking entry lane. The Port’s directions say not to enter through a blue General Parking lane.
  • The garage address is 17801 International Blvd, SeaTac, WA 98188.
  • If you stay past your exit time, the overstay rate is $10 an hour, up to the daily maximum.

The garage also has a height limit of 6 feet 10 inches, so a taller vehicle needs the over-height lot instead. Cars parked more than 30 days must reserve online or arrange it through the Public Parking Office. Our extended stay listing has the number.

If you need an accessible or electric stall

Floor 4 has ADA stalls and 30 electric vehicle stalls in Rows E and F. Those EV stalls provide free Level 2 charging. All of them are first come, first served, and a reservation doesn’t hold one.

General Parking has ADA stalls around each elevator lobby on Floor 5, plus stalls on Floors 1, 3 and 7. Its 64 free Level 2 charging stalls are on Floor 7, Rows E and F. You can compare the two in our EV parking guide.

Once you’re parked, call Prospect Airport Services at (206) 246-1550 for wheelchair assistance from the garage to the ticket counter. Skybridge 5 is one of the marked assistance points. Your airline handles wheelchair service from the ticket counter to the gate and between gates. Book it with the airline before travel.

If plans change

Cancel or edit at least six hours before your entry time without penalty. For questions about a reservation, ReserveSEA Customer Service is available at 206-787-4888, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Port says Terminal Direct and Pre-Booked Parking were discontinued. Don’t use their old rates to price Floor 4.
