British Airways, Emirates, Lufthansa and Korean Air are among the airlines SEA lists at the S Concourse. Check in at the Main Terminal, clear security, then take the Blue Line train to S Station. Blue Line trains come every three minutes.

SEA calls this area the S Concourse. It has gates S1 through S12, plus S15 and S16. You cannot walk there from the Main Terminal gates. The S Concourse map shows its position. The concourse stays open through a multi-phase renovation, so expect some construction.

From check-in to the S gates

  1. Check in at the Main Terminal. SEA lists check-in for the S airlines on Level 5, before security. Icelandair’s check-in point is near Door 19. Follow your operating airline’s posted counter assignment.
  2. Clear security. Any checkpoint reaches every gate. Checkpoints 1, 2 and 3 are closest to A and S, and Checkpoint 1 is on the lower Arrivals drive by Doors 6 and 4. Checkpoint 4 is open 24 hours, and our security wait times guide shows when lines peak.
  3. Follow signs to A Station or B Station. A Station is across from Gate A3. B Station is below Gates B20 and B21. Both serve the SEA Underground Blue Line, which runs to S Station. If you’re near the C or D gates, you can walk through the connected Main Terminal concourses to A or B. The Yellow Line also links D Station to A Station, where you can change to the Blue Line.
  4. Ride the Blue Line to S Station. S Station is on Level 2. The S gates are up on Level 5. These trains run inside security, so this trip does not call for another screening.

During train outages, buses run to S.

Landing on an international flight

Meet an arriving international passenger at Gina Marie Lindsey Hall, on the baggage claim level at the south end of the terminal. The Port of Seattle says international passengers claim their bags in the International Arrivals Facility before passport control, even when your ticket continues beyond SEA. Our connecting flights page covers transfers, and the Port recommends tracking your flight’s status online or with the flySEA App because clearance can take 60 minutes or longer. Our flights page shows where each airline checks in.

If you’re connecting through the IAF, take the walkway on the right to your airline’s bag recheck counters. You’ll go through TSA screening before your next flight. The IAF transfer checkpoint opens from 6 a.m. to 9:45 p.m. Pacific. It exits into A Concourse. For an S departure, take the Blue Line from A Station.

Flights from U.S. preclearance airports bypass the International Arrivals Facility.
