Getting between concourses at SEA: walk or train, every pair
Walk between A, B, C and D at SEA. For N and S, find the right Underground line and station for your concourse pair.

Once you’re through security, you can walk between Concourses A, B, C and D. The SEA Underground train to N or S also runs inside security. The Port says you can get where you’re going in two to five minutes on the Underground, and a train arrives every three minutes on the Blue and Green loops.
Our terminal guide shows the concourses and gate areas together. The terminal runs north to south, with A, B and S at the south end and C, D and N at the north. If you’re walking from A toward D, head north through the main gate area and follow the D signs.
If you’re still outside security, any open checkpoint reaches every gate, and our checkpoint guide lists their hours.
Walking from A to D
From A, follow signs for D Concourse while staying after security. D Station is downstairs for the trains. Gates D20 through D26 are on Level 3, below the main gates floor on Level 5. To reach D21 through D26, cross the bridge to the D Annex across from Gate D5. At the annex gate, you board a shuttle to an aircraft parked away from the terminal.
The Yellow Line also links A Station and D Station. A Station is across from Gate A3. D Station is across from Gate D2.
Taking the train to N or S
N and S are the satellite concourses. N has Gates N1 through N20. S has Gates S1 through S12, S15 and S16. N Station is below N Concourse, and S Station is below S Concourse. Follow signs down to the SEA Underground station for your route, then return to concourse level at the other end. The platforms are on Level 2.
| Your destination | Line to follow | Where to board from the main concourses |
|---|---|---|
| N Concourse | Green Line | C Station by Gate C11 or D Station across from Gate D2 |
| S Concourse | Blue Line | A Station across from Gate A3 or B Station below Gates B20 and B21 |
| Your route | How to make it |
|---|---|
| A or B to N | Yellow Line from A to D, then the Green Line. Or walk to C or D and board the Green Line there. |
| C or D to S | Walk to B Station and board the Blue Line. Or reach A Station on foot, or on the Yellow Line from D, then take the Blue Line. |
| N to S | Green Line to D, Yellow Line to A, then the Blue Line to S. |
| S to N | Reverse that: Blue Line to A, Yellow Line to D, then the Green Line to N. |
The after-security Pathfinder information desk is in A Concourse between Gates A5 and A6.
By A Station, Starbucks at A3 is listed daily from 3 a.m. to 11 p.m. Near D Station, Urban Market at D2 runs 3:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Water refill stations are by Gates A2 and A4, B3, B8 and B9, C2 and C3, and D1, D3 and D5, and on the N Gates train platform and by Gates S7 and S10.
If your connection has a complication
If you need wheelchair help between gates, the service is free. Gratuities are appreciated, though SEA gives no tip amount. See our wheelchair assistance page for details.
If the SEA Underground train is out of service, SEA uses a bus to reach N and S Concourses.
If you’re arriving on an international flight and connecting onward, follow the international transfer process first. The International Arrivals Facility transfer checkpoint is open 6 a.m. to 9:45 p.m. and exits into A Concourse.
